  Sticky Tapes is a physical mix series for charity. All mixes will be available to buy on cassette or digitally with all proceeds going to the Djs charity of choice.
  
  This is Sticky 001: Violet/ELLES - Two amazing DJs sharing either side of the cassette. They have both chosen the full proceeds of this tape to go to The Okra Project, a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever they can reach them.   Naive label head and Rinse resident Violet brings a club ready 45 minute mix for the Side A of the tape, full of broken rhythms, synth led house and 2-step heaters.
  
  About this mix she said: "The mix is an ode to my love to syncopated broken rhythms, textured basslines and songs. I experimented with including vocals more than usual and with doing double drop style mixes, with sharp cuts. It’s a sunny and warm sonic vision meant to soothe the soul in times of struggle."
  
  With releases on Love On The Rocks, Naive, Fade to Zaire, Ears Have Eyes and Super Drama, ELLES atmospheric garage and acid house productions have been making waves across the London scene. Her mix on side B is a 100% production special with atmosphere being the main theme, with 2 step rhythms and squelchy acid lines from start to finish - a real treat for the ears.
  
  About this mix she said: A fruity selection feat. unreleased trax from the vaults some of which the original files were lost on a hard drive that met an unforeseen and untimely end, a couple of actual releases (like squirtelle & 2nite which appear on Love on The Rocks and Lobster Theremin compilations respectively), the first physical format release Violet & I did together on LOTR, a cover of Robin S’s Show Me Love with a sample of the Skype ring tone that I made in a particularly quiet lockdown moment, and the last track which features samples of my mum’s voice. :)
